StructureCare proudly participated in Tremco CPG's global Safety Week initiative, held from June 24th to 28th, 2024. This important event called attention to the company’s unwavering commitment to health and safety by offering a variety of engaging and educational activities for employees both in-person and remotely.
The week-long programme included a series of impactful talks and training sessions designed to enhance safety awareness and best practices. One of the highlights was a compelling presentation on drug awareness by Rob Ellis, who shared critical insights on the dangers of substance abuse and its impact on workplace safety.
StructureCare also facilitated an informative session with Arco, focusing on navigating the Arco online PPE ordering system. This online portal training aimed to ensure that employees are well-versed in accessing and utilising personal protective equipment efficiently.
Addressing the risks associated with dropped objects, a presentation by NLG (Never Let Go) emphasised the severe impact force that even small objects can have when dropped from a height. This session was crucial in raising awareness about the importance of securing tools and materials to prevent accidents.
Reactec delivered an insightful talk on the hazards of noise and dust, outlining the potential long-term harm these elements can cause. The session provided valuable information on protective measures and best practices to mitigate these risks.
In a bid to address mental health in the construction industry, Andy's Man Club conducted a poignant session on suicide awareness. This discussion highlighted the importance of mental well-being and provided resources and support for those in need.
Throughout Safety Week, StructureCare ensured that all activities were not only educational but also engaging and enjoyable for all participants. The initiative was a testament to the company’s dedication to fostering a culture of safety and well-being, aligning with Tremco CPG’s overarching goals.
