In an inspiring move to prioritise the mental health and wellbeing of its workforce, StructureCare has launched a comprehensive Mental Health First Aider programme. This initiative underpins the company's commitment to creating a supportive and nurturing work environment for all employees.
Recognising the profound impact of mental health on overall productivity and job satisfaction, StructureCare has taken proactive steps to ensure its team members have access to the support they need. As part of this initiative, a group of dedicated employees has undergone training to become Mental Health First Aiders. These individuals are now equipped with the skills to provide initial support and guidance to colleagues experiencing mental health challenges.
The Mental Health First Aider programme at StructureCare includes training on how to recognise the signs of mental health issues, provide initial help, and guide individuals towards appropriate professional support. This initiative not only enhances the support network within the company but also raises awareness about the importance of mental health.
Our Trained Mental Health Aiders
We are proud to announce the following employees who have completed the Mental Health First Aider training, alongside a testimonial on what this means for them:
Gavin WaddingtonDue to my military background, I have known so many of my friends and family suffer with mental health including myself. Knowing what everyone goes through daily and the struggles of everyday life, I feel mental health is massively underestimated. If I can help and support anyone suffering and show them guidance, then that makes this course worthwhile for not only the individual supported but makes me feel happy to have helped.
Andrew LucasMental health can be many things that are hard to explain and difficult to talk about.
But one thing it should never be is embarrassing. We have a great team here to help with emotional, psychological or any kind of stress. Talking is the way to start.
Chloe SinclairI became a Mental Health First Aider to gain a better understanding of the signs and symptoms of mental health and how to guide people to the correct support. I am grateful to be given the opportunity to help raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health. I believe that this is a great step forward for StructureCare in ensuring individuals feel able to reach out and seek help without judgement.
Rhianne SimpsonMental health training has given me the skills needed to support our colleagues in finding the right professional help for them. People no longer have to feel like they don’t know what to do or have no one to turn to. The training we received is not about fixing someone or diagnosing them but providing support for whatever they’re going through without worrying we may say or do the wrong thing.
Christopher CarterMental health means taking care of myself so that I can take care of others. It's good to talk.
These individuals have demonstrated exceptional dedication and empathy, and they are now ready to serve as the first point of contact for their colleagues in need.
This initiative is part of a broader effort by StructureCare to promote mental health awareness and create a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered. With the Mental Health First Aider programme, StructureCare is setting a benchmark for other companies to follow in prioritizing employee wellbeing.
